Most common symptoms of Abnormal alt sgpt :
Left untreated, abnormal ALT SGPT can cause many health problems, such as:
Dark colored urine
Normally, human urine color is straw-yellow. Urine color other than straw-yellow sometimes reflects an abnormality — an underlying pathological condition in human beings. Urine that is dark orange, amber, cola-coloured or brown can be a sign of liver disease.
The dark colour is due to too much bilirubin building up because the liver isn’t breaking it down normally. Infection, disease, medicines, or food can all affect urine color temporarily but dark urine that looks brown but clear might be a warning sign of a serious liver disease.
If you have elevated ALT SGPT then you may have Dark colored urine as one of the symptoms.
Fatigue
Since fatigue can be caused by a variety of other health problems, such as anemia, depression, sleep disorders, poor diet, dehydration, or lack of exercise, it may be difficult to determine whether it is caused by the liver disease, secondary conditions, or a combination of both.
Fatigue is a feeling of tiredness. It may be sudden or gradual in onset. A person with fatigue may find it physically hard to do the things they usually do, such as climbing the stairs. However, it may be a symptom of a medical condition if it is prolonged, severe, progressive, or occurs without provocation.
Fatigue is a symptom commonly described by people with liver disease and abnormal ALT SGPT levels. There is no relationship between the severity of liver disease and the severity of the fatigue. Those with minimal liver disease may experience total exhaustion while those with severe liver disease may not feel tired at all, or vice versa.

Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath is a common complaint in those with chronic liver disease. Shortness of breath, also known as dyspnea is a feeling of not being able to breathe well enough. Dyspnea is a normal symptom of heavy exertion but becomes pathological if it occurs in unexpected situations, like when your ALT SGPT levels are abnormal.
Some people may also experience sleeplessness due to the stress. Not getting enough sleep is linked to Heart attack, Depression, High Blood Pressure, Obesity and Diabetes. If you think you are having a sleep disorder, you can take this all natural nutritional supplement at night. It is considered the best way to fall asleep fast and it will also help reduce anxiety.
Itchy skin
Any disorder that causes liver enzyme elevations (e.g. ALT SGPT) and high bilirubin levels can cause itching. If you have liver disease, you might have higher levels of bile salt accumulating under the skin, which may cause itching.
Itch is a sensation that causes the desire or reflex to scratch. Itch has resisted many attempts to be classified as any one type of sensory experience. Itch has many similarities to pain, and while both are unpleasant sensory experiences, their behavioral response patterns are different.
Pain creates a withdrawal reflex, whereas itch leads to a scratch reflex. Not everyone with high levels of bile salts feel itchy, and some people feel itchy despite a normal bile salt level.

Light colored poop
Human feces is the solid or semisolid remains of food that could not be digested or absorbed in the small intestine of humans, but has been further broken down by bacteria in the large intestine.
Abnormal ALT SGPT can change stool color. Bile salts are released into your stools by your liver, giving the stools a brown color. When the stool is very pale, it often means that not enough bile is reaching the stool.
Some other symptoms of abnormal ALT SGPT are Excessive bleeding, Vomiting and nausea, Excessive bruising, Jaundice, Leg swelling, Stomach pain and Stomach swelling.

Are lab test results always right?
While they do have to meet very high standards, they can be wrong sometimes. For example, you might get a false positive (the results say you have the condition you were tested for, but you really dont) or a false negative (the results say you don’t have a condition, but you really do).
Lab test failures contribute to delayed or wrong diagnoses and unnecessary costs and care. For context, a 2014 study estimated that diagnostic errors happen about 12 million times per year in U.S. outpatients. This represents 1 in 20 adults. In case you think your blood test result doesn't make any sense, we recommend that you do the test again from HealthLabs as they perform testing using verified methods and they test blood only in the best CLIA certified labs. You won't need a doctor's referral or insurance.
Besides Lab test failures, there are many other reasons for inaccurate blood results. Know the common reasons for inaccurate blood test results?
