How Kira Sanchez treated low creatinine?
Note - This article is written by one of our patients about their experiences with low creatinine.
Kira Sanchez here, and I'd want to talk about my experience with getting diagnosed with low creatinine levels while still in school. It was an unexpected and disturbing event that disturbed my sense of wellbeing and caused me to worry about my health.
I was a good student, so I always put my studies first and spent the most of my time on them. However, I was shocked to learn that my creatinine level, which was measured at 0.68, was exceptionally low during a routine medical examination. A byproduct of muscle metabolism called creatinine is frequently used to assess kidney health.
I was unprepared for the diagnosis, which left me perplexed and worried. I had never had a serious health problem before, and I had never even heard of having low creatinine levels. Even at such a young age, it was impossible to understand why this was taking place.

I started a voyage of research and self-education because I wanted to comprehend my situation and have control over my health. To better understand the reasons and effects of low creatinine levels, I dove into the medical literature, talked to reliable sources, and enlisted the help of professionals.
Through my research, I discovered that conditions like insufficient muscle mass, malnutrition, or underlying kidney issues could be to blame for low creatinine levels. Knowing this, I was motivated to identify the underlying issue and take prompt action to resolve it.
I made an appointment with a nephrologist, a kidney disease expert, who thoroughly assessed my medical history, carried out more tests, and offered insightful information about my situation. My low creatinine levels were shown to be predominantly the result of insufficient muscle mass after rigorous examination.
I made the decision to significantly alter my daily routine after realising the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise, such as strength training, cardio workouts, and flexibility drills, were all incorporated into my regimen. These exercises not only increased my muscle mass but also helped me become more physically strong and well-balanced.
In parallel, I worked with a licenced nutritionist to create a nutritionally sound meal plan that was balanced. I concentrated on including lean proteins in my diet, such as poultry, fish, and plant-based substitutes. To maintain my general health, I also increased the amount of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other nutrient-rich meals I ate.
It wasn't easy to adjust to these lifestyle adjustments while balancing school obligations. However, my family, friends, and the school community gave me a lot of support. Throughout my experience, they provided support, understanding, and assistance. They offered a sympathetic ear, assisted with meal preparation, and even accompanied me during workouts, which improved the experience and served as motivation.
I noticed several constructive changes over time. During routine follow-up visits with my nephrologist, my creatinine levels improved, pointing to improved kidney health. Along with these effects, I felt more energised, more focused, and generally happier.
I learned important lessons about the value of self-care, proactive health management, and the significance of a solid support system during my struggle with low creatinine levels while I was still in school. It made clear how important it is to pay attention to my body, get advice from a specialist, and live a balanced lifestyle.
I exhort other students and everyone dealing with comparable difficulties to prioritise their well-being and take appropriate measures. Consult medical experts, pose questions to them, and seek their advice if you receive unexpected medical information. Speak freely about your worries with your support network, including your family, friends, and the faculty or staff at your school. Keep in mind that you have the ability to take charge of your health and make wise decisions that will improve your life.
